Route

Gautegiz Arteaga (Biscay)

Section 1

From the Bird Center parking to the Arteaga Castle

Not suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM)

Leaving from the Bird Center, this section runs through part of the Ozollo area in the direction of the Arteaga castle, where it leaves the sidewalk and passes to the local asphalt road that descends to the Ozollo neighborhood: it is a section with little traffic, without protection or segregation for walkers. Turn towards the estuary, going down a track towards Ozolloerrota: to continue towards the hermitage of San Lorenzo, you must surround the property by a narrow path. The circuit is completed by leaving Isla Bekoa to the BI-3234, where you travel 300m along the edge of the road, and going down to the neighborhood of Portua, to go up from there to the neighborhood of Ozollo. The return from the castle has been carried out by Zelaieder.
